Who am I?
Hi, I’m Jennie Fagen! I’m an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach.
I am going to help you find a routine that you thrive off of with the most mouth-watering, energizing foods for you, but I’m also here for YOU.
I believe your health is more than just the food you eat— it’s your happiness. Are you happy in your relationships? Exercise? Creativity? Sleep? Stress levels? Are you happy in your relationships? Exercise? Creativity? Sleep? Stress levels?
I combine these with integrative nutrition to provide a truly holistic approach to my clients.

Integrative Nutrition + Brain & Cognitive Science
I received my degree in Brain & Cognitive Science, then got certified as an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach. What this means is, I’m well versed in how the brain works, and take into account the psychology behind why we eat what we eat. I help my clients acknowledge patterns that are no longer serving them to adopt more positive ones.
We also take a look at how your focus, energy levels, critical thinking skills, sleep, stress resilience, and more are all impacted by both our food and the way we think.
I am your accountability partner. I am your chance to reflect on your food, your exercise, your self-care, the stress in your life, & your happiness.
My philosophy
Ever been on a diet before? Probs yes.
Ever been OFF that same diet? Probs yes, again.
That’s because DIETING doesn’t work. The very idea of going on a diet implies you are going to come off that same diet. Why?
Because dieting and calorie counting are not sustainable… or fun, and they lead to self-sabotage, that inner-rebellion in us that says, “Never eat pizza again? Yeah right. I only live once– enough of this.”
What DOES works?
Finding a sustainable and balanced way of eating that works for YOU– your body, your lifestyle, your goals, your preferences.
Understanding your patterns around eating so you can toss the ones that are no longer serving you, & establish new habits BECAUSE they make you feel good.
Understanding WHAT you want, WHY you want it, & HOW you’re going to get there.
Having someone to hold you ACCOUNTABLE to what you say you want because it’s important to you.
Having the right tools– there are a million and one dietary theories out there– what way of eating works best for your body? What is myth and what is based on real science?
Having steps to focus on each week— 1, 2, or 3 small things you can focus on, instead of 5 million things. What happens when we have 5 million things we “should” be doing? We do none of them. Sound familiar?
This is where I can help.
I guide my clients with the right support, the right accountability, and the right steps in the right order.

Okay, now for real, about me…
Usually when people want to know “about me” they actually don’t want to know about my philosophy around nutrition, so here’s a hodgepodge of randomness. Hope you enjoy!
I’m a trained opera singer: After getting my degree in Brain & Cognitive Science, I received a scholarship to study Opera & Music in Vienna, Austria.
Singing is what really got me into nutrition: I was struggling with damaged vocal chords and when my doctor suggested some dietary changes, I followed through and my voice healed.
I’m fluent in Spanish: I lived in Spain for a year, teaching English & singing in a classic rock band.
I have two brothers, one older one younger: I always wanted to be “one of the boys” growing up, and that includes my views on food. I never was that girl who got “just salad.” So I get it. Food is delicious.
I’ve won a chicken wing eating contest & a pie-eating contest: I told you I could eat. I also felt like garbage after.
I lived in a village in Africa for a summer: I’m the first person in my family to travel outside the
I’m a black belt in karate: My little brother insisted on joining the dojo, so my parents offered it to me as well. He ended up dropping out after a few years. I stuck with it and got my black belt at age 15.
I acted for a few years: I performed in a light opera company in Cape Cod, a musical theater company in Maine, and did commercials for brands like Clairol, Febreeze, & Green Giant when I first moved to NYC. I loved acting but wanted to make a bigger impact, and found inspiration through integrative nutrition.
I made a parody song about the Bills that went viral: I’m a Buffalo Bills fan and created a song called, Bills are 16 going on 17, that got viewed over a million times on Facebook, featured in the Wall Street Journal, in USA Today, and on NPR.
